Over the last 7 months teams from different companies joined the Innovation Hackathon programme.

Each team was tasked by their C-suite sponsor (mentor) to address a real challenge or opportunity within their company.

At the same time, the individuals underwent comprehensive training in presenting and defending new ideas, understanding the change process and gaining stakeholders support.

On this final day, participating teams will pitch their solution / POC / prototype to a jury of experts to win the Hackathon Award.

PARTICIPATING COMPANY

Anglian Water

Anglian Water supply water and water recycling services to more than 6 million domestic and business customers in the east of England and Hartlepool. It is the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area.

Hackathon challenge

The team are working on a project given to them by their Chief People Officer – how to best capture and share knowledge internally.

PARTICIPATING COMPANY

Cifas

Cifas is dedicated to the prevention of fraud, including internal fraud, and the identification of financial crime. It has over 750 Members spread across banking, credit cards, asset finance, retail credit, insurance, telecommunications, etc.

The team was tasked to develop a single platform/database for multiple use cases.
