For businesses that have been fully remote from the beginning, such as Mozilla, Zapier and GitHub, the pandemic didn’t change much their working habits.
Whilst a lot of businesses have transitioned to offer flexible and remote working, many of them report that it has impacted ideation, knowledge transfer to new employees and engagement levels in social activities.

Yinka Opaneye is the CHRO of Nethermind, a web3 organisation providing technology, R&D and consulting services for blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi) businesses.
Yinka was the former Group HR Director with GameAnalytics overseeing employee operations across a range of subsidiary businesses based in Asia, Europe and Middle-East and Northern America. He is currently consulting for a number of SMEs and technology-based startups.
He is CIPD qualified HR professional with over 15 years’ progressive experience within the field working with well-known businesses, growing SMEs and several charities. Though a generalist he is a specialist in talent acquisition and employee relations.
His practical experience is balanced out by an MA Human Resources Management and an employment law certificate. Most notably, he authored the book ‘FinTech In Africa’ (2015) which explores how FinTech has impacted the continent. His current focus remains in how small-medium enterprises can best utilise their people function.

Sonia is heading HR for the EMEA region and Canada at Nvidia. She has over 30 years’ experience of devising and implementing human resource strategy in the semiconductor and technology sectors, with a strong track record of building, developing and facilitating teams across all levels of business in multiple locations and regions.
Sonia joined Nvidia in 2011. Prior to joining Nvidia, Sonia has headed HR in IT Starts-Up in the semiconductor industry. She started her HR Career in Luxembourg at Banque de Luxembourg. Sonia is fluent in four languages and is based in Sophia Antipolis, France.
