As a longstanding advocate of responsible investing, Sally will provide an quick overview of how pension funds, insurers and asset managers are grappling with the challenges of combining financial returns and risks with impact investing.

Using a case study from an innovative company contributing to the transition to a sustainable economy, she will highlight some lessons for companies seeking meaningful relationships with their investors.

Drawing on her experience in innovation in the world of pension fund investing, Sally will also look ahead to what the future may hold when we look across private, public and philanthropic sectors to effect societal change and impact.

Hon Group Captain Sally Bridgeland BSc ARCS FIA FRSA

Sally is Chair at Impax Asset Management Group plc, is a non-executive director at insurers Royal London, Pension Insurance Corporation and Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance, and at Local Pensions Partnership (LPP) Limited, where she chairs its regulated investment company.

Her non-executive portfolio has included roles at the Nuclear Liabilities Fund, NEST Corporation and the Lloyds Bank pension schemes. She was CEO of the BP Pension Scheme in the interesting years of 2007-14 after twenty years with Aon Hewitt working as a pensions consultant and in investment research and innovation.
